About Mediava

Rock Solid Foundation

Mediava was founded in 2026 by Frederic Rondeau in Montreal, Canada, a media expertise partner combining strategy, support, consulting, and training, for brands, creative agencies, and media agencies that want sharp media expertise without adding a permanent structure. Frederic focuses on what actually moves the needle, not on strategy for show.

Before Mediava, he spent more than thirty years in paid media strategies, digital and traditional, learning how the media business works! His career comes down to three forces today. Growth is the foundation. Connect People and Forward Thinking are the engines.

He grows the agencies he works for through relationships, not cold outreach. At Espace M, he helped grow the agency's revenue by 30 to 50 percent by bringing in the DrivenBrands account through his own relationships. He also opened new markets by bringing the agency into the ICOM network: growth from the U.S. through agencies like Olomana (Honolulu), DNA&Stone (Chicago), and Morrison (Atlanta), and from the U.K. through Switch, plus access to some of the sharpest processes, practices, and technology in the industry.

Relationships are at the core of how he works. From a growth perspective, locally, he started and built the partnership with Rethink, among others. Internationally, he built his network over years of active involvement in the ICOM network, including a seat on its strategic committee, the committee that shaped the network's strategic direction for the years ahead. Built over more than three decades, across local and international relationships, that network still generates mandates and growth today. His greatest strength: earning client satisfaction through excellence in service and product. Service excellence starts with a winning client relationship built on respect and trust; product excellence is the agency's ability to deliver a product that matches the client's business needs in every way. Getting there means anticipating (and yes, sometimes guessing!) those needs. In every case, it comes down to a relationship with a client, with a person, with a human being.

He keeps an eye on what's next. He's building an AI powered media planning tool, currently in beta, and has completed a mobile app, now live on the Apple App Store: two projects born from his own initiative.

Teaching is part of his path too. Teaching is really about connecting with people: without that connection to your students, not much gets through. We've all seen teachers, the cliché professor, lost in his academic world, with no connection to his/her students. You can teach that way, but students do not necessarily learn. And because what he teaches keeps evolving so fast, it pushes him to think ahead too.

Open mindedness and curiosity are his personal engines. The same drive that pushes him to build relationships internationally also takes over outside the office, all the way to the stove: he's logged more than 200 hours of cooking classes with chefs like Martin Picard, Stefano Faita, and Elena Faita. As Frederic says: "Want to eat well? Work with me!"

Three forces, one path: thirty years spent growing, connecting, and looking ahead.
